About The Appointment Center

History

In business since May 1999, The Appointment Center began with 3 companies and 200 listings. Five years later, we have 51 client companies in the Upstate of South Carolina and set appointments for more than 2400 listings. Each month, we set approximately 6000 to over 8000 appointments. Currently open from 8 am-8 pm, seven days per week, the launch of the new web-based application in November of 2003 will provide a way for agents to schedule, update and request information about their listings online, 24 hours a day.

Management Team

The Appointment Center was founded and is currently run by three principals-Beverly Collins, Karen Phillips, and Julie Ward.

Julie Ward - Director of Operations

Julie is responsible for overall management and daily operations. She had been a real estate agent in California, Pennsylvania, and Delaware for approximately 11 years prior to developing and opening an appointment center in Wilmington, Delaware for The Prudential Preferred Properties. After relocating to Greenville, South Carolina with her husband, she developed the concept and structure for a centralized appointment center.

Beverly Collins - Director of Finance

Beverly is responsible for payroll, taxes, accounts payable and receivable. She spent 15 years working for Sibcy Cline Realtors in Cinncinati, OH, in both administrative and technical development capacities. After relocating with her husband to Greenville, SC, Beverly worked with a local real estate office before joining her partners at The Appointment Center.

Karen Phillips - Director of Marketing

Karen is responsible for new business development and customer/client relations. She had been involved in direct sales and small business management since early 1992. In the mid-90's she built a successful sales team in the cosmetics industry with annual team sales of over $100,000, also ranking as one of the top 50 sales consultants in the company. Wanting to make a career change, Karen trained at a local real estate company before joining her partners in the formation of The Appointment Center.
